Why we curate
Why this earns the list.
Overspeed training works, and the Speed Sticks Pro is where the protocol was proven. The Inertia Matching System customizes the stick weights to match your driver — so the training loads are calibrated to your actual swing, not a generic average. Padraig Harrington's endorsement is not marketing decoration; he called it the easiest way to gain speed because the time investment is genuinely minimal and the protocol is repeatable enough to build a habit around. At 15 minutes three times a week, there are fewer excuses not to do it.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
More than just a training stick

The Speed Sticks Pro is the training system that started the overspeed movement in golf. SuperSpeed Golf launched the original speed sticks in 2014 and has spent the decade since refining the protocol with Tour professionals, coaches, and amateur golfers at every ability level. The Speed Sticks Pro is the current generation of that system.

How the protocol works

  • Overspeed loading: Swinging a lighter-than-normal club trains the nervous system to fire faster. The speed gained in overspeed sets transfers to the driver because the neural pattern, not the muscle load, is what changes.
  • Three sticks, three loads: Light, medium, and heavy sticks create a training progression. You work through each weight in a single session to reinforce the speed pattern across a range of club loads.
  • Inertia Matching System: The stick weights are calibrated to match your driver via the Inertia Matching System, so the training load is specific to your actual equipment rather than a generic standard.
  • 15 minutes, 3x per week: The full protocol fits a practice session or a pre-round warmup. Consistency matters more than volume.

What the app adds

The free SuperSpeed Golf app (iOS + Android) includes 35+ protocols covering different swing speed goals, playing levels, and training contexts. Lifetime access is included with every purchase — no subscription.

Padraig Harrington has used SuperSpeed Golf since before his 2024 World Golf Hall of Fame induction. His endorsement: The easiest way to gain speed. For a player who has won 3 Majors and understands exactly what training tools deliver, that recommendation carries weight.

The PRGR Bundle variant pairs the Speed Sticks Pro with the PRGR Portable Launch Monitor (HS130A), which tracks club speed and ball speed during and between training sessions — closing the feedback loop that makes the protocol measurable.
