The Downshift Pressure Board (US Patent D1071045) trains the part of the golf swing most instruction misses: what your feet are doing. Ground reaction forces — the way elite golfers load into the trail side, shift their weight, and push off at impact — are the source of effortless power. Most golfers can't feel whether they're doing it correctly until something makes the feedback visible. The Pressure Board does that.
How the feedback works
A small dowel on the underside of the board gives your feet immediate, real-time information about where your pressure is and when it moves. You don't need a force plate or a coach watching; you can see and feel the shift yourself. That direct proprioceptive feedback is what makes the movement pattern stick — your nervous system learns the correct sequence far faster than it does from a verbal cue alone.
Train anywhere, with or without a ball
The Pressure Board works indoors or outdoors, with a club or without one. That matters: learning the movement pattern without the distraction of hitting a ball is often the faster path to transferring it to the actual swing. Once the pressure shift feels natural, adding a club and ball is straightforward.
The rounded-corner design and contrasting black surface are intentional — Downshift Golf built a board that looks like equipment worth using, not a training prop you avoid. Two-year warranty and 45-day returns.
